Bouncy Baby Card

The cute little elephant bounces, or wobbles, when you shake the card, or tap it with your finger. Cute card for a First Birthday.

Hope

I followed a Debby Hughes video tutorial on how to watercolor plaid.  I instantly feel in love with her watercoloring plaid technique. She made it look so easy and it is. Not perfect for sure but I love it. Anyway, this is for my dear friend who is in the middle of Chemotherapy treatment, and I am wishing her success in her treatment.

Gentle Thoughts

This Stampin' Up Garden Collage stamp set is one of the first "used" stamp sets that I purchased from my wonderful  friend, Les.  Les made the most beautiful cards, and the smallest little lapel pens made of leather, she made one for me depicting my little dachshund and I proudly wear it on my crafting apron. Les is gone now, but I think of her everyday that I am crafting, and am so thankful that we met. She sparked the joy of stamping in everyone and this card is made in her memory.

If I Could Put Time In A Bottle

Ok, maybe not, unless this squiggly fellow is named Time. The background for the tag and octopus was a scrap from another project where I used the scrunched cling wrap watercolor technique. Not wanting to be wasteful, I stamped the bottle in VersaMark and Tranquil Tide ink and heat set in clear embossing powder. With the bit of leftover, I made a tag background.

Hut, Hut, Hut Beach Huts

I can truly say, "I Love The Beach" I have lived near the Pacific Ocean all my life, and that's a long time, lol. I'm near enough to put my pretty little pedicured toes in the water every day.   I'd love to have one of these cute little beach huts, so I could dash out, stick my toes in the water and dash back, better yet, I'll just continue with my early morning or sundowner walks along the beach.

Meddling In Metal Work

I am no where near a steampunk enthusiast, but loved making this faux metal work with aluminum foil. I picked up the owl stamp at a garage sale a few years back, never thought I'd use it. I applied several colors of acrylic paints along with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide and metallic copper rub.

Rainy Days and Mondays

It took me several tries of letting various re-inker colors run down the watercolor paper before I had one that I liked. I went with a simple light two tone that reminded me of drizzly rain on a window pane, thus the window card was born.

I added raindrops and the tiny little flowers to the watercolor piece and framed it with the window die and added a piece of clear acetate. A little crushed curry bow added a little color to match the flowers.

You Octopi My Thoughts

After watching a Loll Thompson video, I made about a dozen or so ink died tissue paper pieces. I liked this one witht he glitter dots in the paper as it reminded me of an underwater scene.
Mounted the dried tissue paper onto a piece of thick white card stock then stamped with the images.
I die cut a rectangle from the front of the Pacific Point card stock base and added a clear acetate window sheet , with glue dots I added the aquarium scene and covered the back with another piece of Pacific Point card stock. Stamped, colored and die cut the sentiment and used glue dots to mount it to the front of the aquarium "glass" and card base.
