Owl
Cricut Artiste Owl
Whoo loves homework like this?
Here are some of the owls from a workshop homework project. Each person was given an owl cut from Stampin' Up Crumb Cake card stock and a set of round(ish) feather pieces and wings along with eye outlines, cut from Spice Cake designer paper and black card stock. Wow! Awesome and very different designs, how fun.

Hip Hip Hooray
I won the Hip Hip Hooray Designer Card Kit from Stampin' Up for attending Paper Pumpkin Boot Camp. These are just a few of the Thank You cards that I made with the kit for my July club orders. Quick and cute! The quality of the paper, stamps and accessories in this kit is pure Stampin' Up all the way. The kit made a total of 20 cards and I will use the leftover pieces and negatives from the sticker sheets on other projects. Thanks, Stampin' Up!
Paper Pumpkin Pinwheel Party
June 2014 Paper Pumpkin Kit. Pinwheels were attached to all of the bags containing Stampin' Up orders to be picked up at July stamp club. Everyone who attended club in July could see the pretty festive pinwheels from the kit and was given a brochure to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and share in the monthly surprise each kit has to offer.

Close To My Heart Robot Family
Card base is Stampin' Up Summer Starfruit with Tempting Turquoise for the tag. Robot was colored with Copics and the gears were cut from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge at 3/4". I stamped the gears onto the base of this 3x5 card and the little boy and girl robots onto the bottom of the envelope. Glossy Accents was used to glisten the frosting on the cake and the candle light was touched with yellow Stickles.

Thinking of You
I like the effect of the Flower Soft on this card as it brings the Acacia tree to life. Card base is Stampin' Up Sahara Sand and Night of Navy. I stamped the Branch Out stamps onto a piece of Very Vanilla in Chocolate Chip adding leaves in Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron. Sentiment is from Artful Inkables "Post A Note."
Braided Technique Sympathy Card
For this card I used the braided technique on a piece of Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar designer paper and layered it over a base of Crisp Cantaloupe with Whisper White stamped with Everything Eleanor. I used the Petite Petal flower punch, inked the edges of each blossom and added a pearl. The sentiment is from the Simply Sketched stamp set.

Paper Pumpkin Real Life Journal - Altered
I purchased one of the amazing Stampin' Up PAPER PUMPKIN refill kits, Real Life Journal, and modified it for our granddaughter who starts college next month:
For the cover I used some of the Coastal Cabana designer paper. The journal is 5"x8" so I used a larger doily to decorate the cover. Spellbinder dies were used for the sentiment on the cover, and the butterfly is SU Papillon Potpourri. "You're Amazing" is from the Close To My Heart Set, Kudos.
I used the sticker sheet from the kit to decorate each of the designer dividers and pages in the journal along with various inspirational stamps. I also used 1" binder rings and added 65 pieces of binder paper cut down to just under 5" x 8".
The back of the journal was also decorated with some Strawberry Slush dp.

Baby Scrapbook Pages - Look Who's Here
LOOK WHOO'S HERE
A group of my friends and I have started a Scrapbook Club and our first meeting was this last Monday night. Three of us have or are having new grandchildren, so our first night was dedicated to the wee ones in our lives.
We started with a layout designed by Mandy Lahey and shown on page 122 of the Spring/Summer 2014 Close To My Heart Catalog. We substituted our own papers and used glitter paper colored with Copic markers for our balloons. We also designed a companion page to compliment the first page. Each scrapper chose their own colors and the pages all turned out beautiful. Isn't that owl just the cutest! Die cuts are from Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridges Artbooking and Artiste.
Check back as we will continue our once a month Monday Scrapbook night and it will be fun to see all the new pages for our albums.

African Veldt
My first two cards in this series are of elephants from the African Veldt stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers. On my shelf for a number of years, I decided to try an ink over embossing technique to make some very simple cards, here are the results:
Elephant stamped in Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder then sponged over with Stampin' Up Smoky Slate ink, matted in Whisper White and Basic Gray.
My personal favorite are these elephants under a tree. I formed a scene with the three stamps, stamped in Versamark, heat embossed in white embossing powder then sponged over with Stampin' Up Hello Honey, also matted in Whisper White and Hello Honey.
This sleeping lion is from "The Artist Stamps, Burbank, CA", also embossed in Hello Honey.

The Very Best of Stampin' Up 2013 Catalog Samples
These are my CASED versions of some of the cards from the 2013-14 Catalog:
My versions of the beautiful cards from the 2013-14 Catalog.
Papaya Collage and Petite Pairs
Page 62; I used the new 2014-15 colors Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss. I sewed around the frame and added a sentiment from Petite Pairs in the upper corner.
Field Flowers
Page 67; I used a card base of Basic Gray and stamped my flowers in Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight and sewed the Crisp Cantaloupe banner tag to the card front.
Wetlands
Page 68-69; I embossed a So Saffron card front with the Honeycomb embossing folder and adhered it to the card base, the banner tags are in Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake. I made a tag using the Scalloped tag topper punch and tied a piece of hemp twine to the top.
Backyard Basics
Page 79; I started with a base of Crumb Cake. I embossed a piece of So Saffron with the Delicate Design embossing folder and cut the edge of a piece of whisper white with the Adorning Accents Edgelits die. The sentiment is from a retired set "Cheery Chat" and the retired stamp "Love By Definition" was stamped off to lighten then stamped onto the bottom. Inks used were So Saffron, Night of Navy and Tempting Turquoise.
Summer Silhouettes Box
Page 127; I made a box by cutting a 6x6 piece of Crumb Cake and a lid at 6 1/8 x 6 1/8, scored at 1" on all four sides, finished box size is 4x4. I used Basic Black ink for the background and stamped off for a lighter look. I used Versafine Onyx Black for the darker stamped images. The flower was stamped in Strawberry Slush and fussy cut. The ribbon is from my stash.
Morning Meadow
Page 202-03; This card reminded me of the 70's, probably because of a blue polka-dotted bridesmaid dress from a "Hippy" wedding I attended (lol). I used a piece of retired Baja Breeze (please bring back this color, my very favorite blue). I stamped the flowers in Tangerine Tango and fussy cut them using three instead of four
Post Card and Postage Collection
Page 102 and 204; I love the combo of Basic Gray and Crisp Cantaloupe. The card base is 3 5/16 x 5. I also made a 4x5 envelope using the envelope punch board. I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set with Craft White ink for the splatter.
Simply Sketched
Page 205; I used a base of Basic Gray. Stamped portions of the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral, masking areas to get the splotches right where I wanted them to be.
The following stamp sets are still available in the new Stampin' Up 2014-15 Catalog:
Petite Pairs page 134
Wetlands page 172
Summer Silhouettes page 108
Post Card page 31
Gorgeous Grunge page 165

A Sunny Hello!
This card was made following SCS Weekly Inkling #421 - Glittered Stenciling
The base is 5" x 5" and the background scene is one quarter of a party napkin glued to a piece of card stock then cut out. "A sunny hello!" is from Stampin' Up retired set Simply Summer. Just the sun and sand have been glittered. The inside of the card was stamped with Stampin' Up retired set Shore Thing.
I live near the beach, and the sun is just now peeking through the fog, we are in for another hot day. I'm off to feel the hot sparkling sand between my toes. Have a great day!
