Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin March 2018 May Good Things Grow Alternative: Hold On To Hope

I know that almost every family in America, and maybe every family in the world has been touched by cancer, and sometimes they feel that there is no hope.

I made this card for my sister and her grandson both suffering from this horrible disease.  My sister was diagnosed with Leukemia two days before her 62nd birthday last year the progression has been rapid and she is now undergoing chemotherapy, blood transfusions and iron infusion therapy and occasional surgeries to stop internal bleeding.  This last Monday, her grandson and caregiver at just 27 years old, was diagnosed with stomach cancer and will be undergoing major surgery very soon.  He had been treated for acid reflux for years and was being evaluated for surgical repair of a hiatal hernia when they discovered the cancer cells in his stomach tissue.  To add to their stress, he has suffered from IgG Deficiency from birth and extreme caution must be taken to guard against lung damage and infection.

I will never give up hope that we can someday stop the ravages of cancer and the toll that it takes on countless lives.

Please "Hold on to Hope".

Card features:

Stampin' Up March Paper Pumpkin kit May Good Things Grow, Hold on to Hope Stamp Set and dies, Tip Top Taupe ink and card stock (R), Rich Razzleberry 1/2" ribbon, Rose Red card stock, Silver Foil, Wink of Stella.
