No Goodbyes

I am always looking for inspiration in everything. Here I used a Kleenex Box as my background because the colors matched the splitcoaststampers Color Challenge CC623

This is a sympathy card and the sentiment inside the card is a quote by Gandhi from CTMH stamp set Take Heart;

"There are no goodbyes for us, wherever you are, you will always be in my heart." -Gandhi

The Kleenex box was cut apart and pieced back together with tape on the back side.  I then fussy cut a strip for the elephant to walk on.

The elephant was stamped and fussy cut from chip board and soft suede and glued together for strength, Glossy Accents were spread all over the elephant and he was left to dry overnight.

Kinda Eclectic Big Hug Sympathy

I have two sympathy cards to share with you today, using three stamps sets:  Stampin 'Up Kinda Eclectic and Backyard Basics and sentiments from Close To My Heart called Big Hug.

The first card uses background papers of Stampin' Up Crumb Cake and Lost Lagoon the leaves were stamped in Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Versamark which was heat embossed with Marcasite embossing powder.

The second card was stamped with Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake and Versamark and again embosedd with Marcasite.

I can't decide which one I like the best.

Braided Technique Sympathy Card

For this card I used the braided technique on a piece of Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar designer paper and layered it over a base of Crisp Cantaloupe with Whisper White stamped with Everything Eleanor.  I used the Petite Petal flower punch, inked the edges of each blossom and added a pearl.  The sentiment is from the Simply Sketched stamp set.

Pet Sympathy

Loss of Pet

My dear friend lost her beloved pet to bone cancer recently.  Theo was a "long legged" Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a real lover boy.  Theo injured his back about a year ago and had to adjust to getting around in a doggie wheel chair.  Recently he developed a limp in his front leg and an x-ray showed "bubble wrap" bone cancer.  Theo was a devoted companion and loved everyone he met.

I drew this picture of Theo and painted him with Copic Markers added some hemp twine and a little heart.

Sweet dreams Theo.

Sympathy

Sympathy Card

For this card I used the stamp "You Will Find Refuge" by Our Daily Bread.  I cut the bird and branch out leaving off the berries and drawing lines on the branch.

The bird is colored with Copic markers and I used a larger stylus rolled around on the back side to give him some dimension and used foam dimensionals on the back.

The flowers are circles cut into spirals then rolled on a quilling tool.  The leaves are die cuts from Stampin' Up Little Leaves and Cheery Lyn Designs Fanciful Flourish.

The papers are from the "Home Photo Mats" pack by My Mind's Eye.
