Amazing You

I cased this card from a photograph from Stampin Up showing several cards created by their concept artists.  This card uses one of the Free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets "Amazing You".  Here is what I used to make this beautifully layered card:

Peekaboo Peach card base, Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe, Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Crushed Curry and Whisper White card stock pieces.

Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral inks.  Versamark with Copper and White embossing powders.

Amazing You stamp set.

Pick A Pattern Washi Tape.

White lacy doily.

Bouquet Bunch Framelits, Electric Layers Thinlits, and Hearts Framelits dies.

Some fussy cutting.

Copper Sequins and Glitter Enamel Dot.

Outrigger Birthday

I needed a special card for a special friend who is an awesome athlete, celebrating a birthday.  She just returned from a trip to the Cook Islands when she had been outrigging and I thought a card depicting an outrigger would be appropriate.  Now I don't know anything at all about boats, so I had to look up photographs of outriggers.  I sketched a scene onto watercolor paper and painted it with my Sakura Koi Water Colors and gave it some definition with some Stampin' Up watercolor markers, and a kind of dotted sand stamp from the Stampin' Up Waterfront set.  I stamped a birthday greeting from the Stampin' Up Balloon Adventures stamp set, matted it with basic black card stock and mounted it onto the front of a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" heavy card stock base.

Petal Palette

Stampin' Up Petal Palette Stamp Set designs:

My first card was inspired by a design by Jenny Hall (Jenny Hall Designs).  For my version of this card, I stamped the lovely little bird from the Petal Palette stamp set on Whisper White card stock, then stamped it again on a clear acrylic stamping block and immediately pressed this onto another piece of Whisper White.  Both birds colored with Blends and cut out using the matching die set Petals and More.

I sponged Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight ink over the area behind the cut out circles to add color and depth to the leaves and birds.

My second card was inspired by The Card Concept #84 (Sweet Inspiration) challenge for
January 2018.

#redboxchallenge

This is my entry to the Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin Red Box Challenge made from the December 2017 Flora & Flutter Kit:

Thick Whisper White card base 4 1/4" x 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2" topped with
4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Berry Burst card stock.
Glimmer Paper from the kit was sponged with Lemon Lime Twist Ink, then 1/4" was trimmed from one side to back the sentiment.  A Calypso Coral Die Cut Element also from the kit was adhered to the Glimmer Paper with Dimensionals then glued to the Berry Burst card stock with Tombow adhesive. Three Berry Burst adhesive backed sequins from the Tutti-Frutti collection were added to the flowers.
The butterfly die from the kit was stamped in Berry Burst onto a die cut also from the kit and adhered with a touch of Tombow adhesive.
Thank You was stamped onto a 1/2" strip of Lemon Lime Twist card stock and adhered wto a 13/16" strip of Calypso Coral card stock, then to the strip of glimmer card stock cut from the background piece.

Thank you for taking a peek.  I love all of the Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kits as they spark my imagination and creativity.
