Easter Carrot Bags

I made these Easter Carrot bags using a template found here: http://rubberstamping.about.com/od/halloween/ss/HalloweenIcicleBoxTemplate_2.htm

You can get 3 carrot bags from 1 12x12 piece of paper.  I do not recommend using card stock as it is too stiff to roll.  I did not use the fold lines on the template except for the pieces that fold down as flaps at the top and where you apply adhesive.

Two holes were punched in the rounded top sides where I inserted simple curling ribbon and an oval "Happy Easter" sentiment.  I used paper that I came in a paper pack that I would not normally choose to use in a layout, I would have preferred to use more attractive orange papers, however, I always try to use up what I have on hand and not be wasteful.

Valentine with Box Envelope

This little 4x4 Valentine holds a gift card inside tied with a pretty little pink bow. The box was made especially for holding the card.

The paper is from My Mind's Eye and is called Penny Lane, I love the little birds on the paper.

The scalloped hearts were cut using the Nestabilities dies, the others were hand cut to fit (I still don't have the regular hearts die).

The roses are hand made using a EK Success little five pedal punch and rolling the and glueing the pedals. The leaves are made with the six pedal punch.

The Ribbon is pastel pink from Martha Stewart.

The stamps used are from Craft Smart and Stampin' Up, the ink is SU Rose Red. Sentiment inside the card is computer generated.

Dazzling Diamonds were used on the hearts.

Easter Tulips

I was going for a real clean looking Easter card, but this can also be used as a Get Well or Birthday card.

Tulip petals are made with the SU Bird Builder punch. Leaves and stems are hand cut.

Vase was cut with the SU Tag punch then cut and run through the Lattice embossing folder.

Sentiment is computer generated and cut out with the Oval punch and Scalloped Oval punch.

Easter Bunny with Flowers

Whimsy Stamps Bunny with Flowers Digital stamp.

Stampe was colored with Copic markers.

All flowers are hand made. Feathers and pearl spray added for interest.

Spellbinders leaves die and corner die. Small scallop edge punch with small hole punch

Cracked Easter Egg

Easter Egg Card

While looking over past Easter Cards in the Gallery I found several of these cute little cracked egg cards, so cute!

I had some trouble getting the brad to hold the two front pieces together ANY IDEAS WELCOMED on how to do this, I used a little piece of paper glued to the back.

The Papers are SU Whisper White Pool Party and Recollections White, Yellow and designer papers.
I used the Nestabilities oval dies as I do not have the egg shape dies.

Stamps are SU A Flower For All Seasons and duckling is a free online digi. Both colored with Copic Markers.

Cowgirl Birthday

This Cowgirl Birthday card was made following a design by Renee' Matarese athttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...amp;si=Cowgirl

Renee' has some great ideas for cards on her site.

I used Stampin' Up papers and a strip of My Mind's Eye Bohemia.

The Star brad and strip loop are from SU hodgepodge hardware.

The horse is from a line drawing found on the internet.

I really enjoyed making this card for my great grand niece for her birthday this year.

Anniversary

Bird Swing Whimsy Stamps (Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet) colored with Copics. I followed a layout by Beate Johns for this card and added my own touch.

This is for my sister's anniversary this year. The two little lovebirds are so cute and she was kind enough to give me our grandpfathers' very old Bird Cage stand some years ago. I don't have real birds in the cage but use them as a decorative element in my home with faux birds inside, the old iron stand is beautifully crafted.

You can see that I have used a Wilton Doily, sheer ribbon and small punched circles for the white flowers. The rose is from Recollections.

Birthday Fairy

I made this birthday card for my granddaughter's 19th birthday. She has a wonderful future ahead of her and we are so proud to be her grandparents. Her favorite color is green and I just know that she will love this little fairy.

Papers: Old Olive and Calypso Coral. Designer paper is from K&Company "Classic K".

I prefer to use Recollections white paper when coloring with my Copic Markers. I have tried the more expensive papers recommended by many Copic Marker artists, but in my opinion the inexpensive Recollections from Michael's takes the ink better and makes clearer colors.

Stamps: Silver Fairy by Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps. Thank you Sylvia Zet for designing this beautiful stamp. The tiny butterfly is by Cavallini, stamped on Calypso Coral and colored over with Clear Spica pen as are the wings of the fairy. Her bell is colored with Chocolate Spica pen.

Flowers are MS Stamp and Punch flower and Studio G daisy. Leaves are Cheery Lyn Olive Branches.

Pearls are by Recollections.

Wedding Card and Envelope

My sister asked me to make a Wedding card for her eldest grandson who is to be married next month. The wedding colors are navy blue and yellow, and this was a bit of a challenge for me.

I used Navy as the base of the card and background on the 3D envelope and a soft yellow for the sparklie hearts from "The Mariposa" by DCWV.

A Wilton heart shaped doily was used over the "Denim Swirl" by Chatterbox which was zigzag stitched to the light yellow.

Pearls were used on the Doily and in the corners of the card.

A handmade yellow rose compliments the ribbon and pearl spray, along with MS punched leaves, paper twists, a little heart charm and silver thread.

A special 3D envelope is needed to hold this lovely 5x5 card. Envelope was decorated with 2 hearts punched with large Marvy punch and topped with computer generated names punched with the SU word window and frame punch.

The back of the envelope is secured with a hand made cabbage rose in blue denim swirl and sparklie yellow leaves cut from Sizzlits little leaves die, string and a 5/8" circle held on with a brad to secure.

To make the 5x5 3D (or box) envelope:

Cut a piece of cardstock 10 3/4" by 12"

Score the 10 3/4" side at 2 3/8 - 2 3/4 - 8 1/4 and 8 3/8

Score the 12" side at 3 - 3 1/4 - 8 1/2 and 9

Cut all four corners into the second score lines and remove.

Round the two top corners on the closing flap and on the two sides.

Add score tape to the bottom flap sides only with a scant 1/4" piece along the top side...you will need the wiggle room to remove the card more easily.

Thanks for looking.

Wedding Card Money Holder

Made with the SU Petite Pocket die and scraps of designer paper. Base is SU Bashful Blue. Heart is a piece of cardboard divider run through the crimper and rubbed with Tulip silver glitter.

A piece of a Wilton doily and part of a punched strip of MS Doily Lace edge. Two buttons with white twine hold the envelope closed.

Tag wording is computer generated in blue ink then hand cut. Flower is made with SU Boho flower punch, Studio G tiny daisy punch and Recollections tiny sun punch, very center is a white star from the American Girl star border punch.

White 1/8" ribbon and a home made flower finish off the project.

Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder

Papers: SU Whisper White and Kraft. Flair dots.
Ink: SU Basic Brown and Regal Rose.
Stamps: SU Morning Cup

When you pull the lid up the coffee piece of SU Chocolate Chip holds the gift card.

Love this idea and will be making more coffee cup cards that open differently. Who doesn't love coffee?

Belleek Inspiration

Back in 2003 my dear Mother-In-Law had just turned 80 years young, she had mentioned that she had always wanted to visit Ireland to see where her grandparents were born and raised. She is such a wonderful woman, so my husband and I made our plans to surprise her with a 10 day trip to Ireland. We had a wonderful time and after visiting the Belleek factory, she surprised me with the gift of this lovely little vase. May card today is to the fond memories made back then in a far away enchanting land.

Papers are SU Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz and Regal Rose.

Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder with Antique Linen ink.

Flowers are hand made using the SU Trio Flower punch and the smallest flower on the MS Hydrangea punch. The centers are 1/8" circles from the Crop-a-dial. Leaves are from the Hero Arts "September" set.

Thanks for looking and I hope you too can someday enjoy the wonder and beauty of Ireland.
