Wedding Card and Envelope

My sister asked me to make a Wedding card for her eldest grandson who is to be married next month. The wedding colors are navy blue and yellow, and this was a bit of a challenge for me.

I used Navy as the base of the card and background on the 3D envelope and a soft yellow for the sparklie hearts from "The Mariposa" by DCWV.

A Wilton heart shaped doily was used over the "Denim Swirl" by Chatterbox which was zigzag stitched to the light yellow.

Pearls were used on the Doily and in the corners of the card.

A handmade yellow rose compliments the ribbon and pearl spray, along with MS punched leaves, paper twists, a little heart charm and silver thread.

A special 3D envelope is needed to hold this lovely 5x5 card. Envelope was decorated with 2 hearts punched with large Marvy punch and topped with computer generated names punched with the SU word window and frame punch.

The back of the envelope is secured with a hand made cabbage rose in blue denim swirl and sparklie yellow leaves cut from Sizzlits little leaves die, string and a 5/8" circle held on with a brad to secure.

To make the 5x5 3D (or box) envelope:

Cut a piece of cardstock 10 3/4" by 12"

Score the 10 3/4" side at 2 3/8 - 2 3/4 - 8 1/4 and 8 3/8

Score the 12" side at 3 - 3 1/4 - 8 1/2 and 9

Cut all four corners into the second score lines and remove.

Round the two top corners on the closing flap and on the two sides.

Add score tape to the bottom flap sides only with a scant 1/4" piece along the top side...you will need the wiggle room to remove the card more easily.

Thanks for looking.
